Centrifugally optimised clutch plate carrier

The centrifugally optimised clutch plate carrier is a variant of the clutch plate carrier in which the internal spline can be used right up to the open end while a reinforcing radial ring still remains at the open end of the carrier. Ernst Grob produces it by internal forming on the i9 machine or by intermittent forming on the T12. This enables a simpler and more stable component.

What is a centrifugally optimised clutch plate carrier?

It is a variant of the clutch plate carrier for automatic transmissions. The internal spline can be used right up to the open end of the component while a reinforcing radial ring still remains at the open end of the carrier, resulting in a simpler and more stable part.
